Landing Pages
Settings → Landing Pages builds simple pages that Uncog AI hosts for you, with your smart agent's chat built into the page. Use one where you need a link but have no website you can edit: an email signature, your Google Business profile, an ad or a QR code on a flyer. A page is built from ready-made blocks. You can't add your own HTML, code, forms or styles. A page shows your logo and brand colours the same way your smart agent does (see Branding).
Only Owners and Admins can open Settings → Landing Pages. An account can have up to 10 landing pages.
Your page address
Every page lives under your account's own address on uncog.it, followed by the page's address, for example smith-lending.uncog.it/get-a-quote. Choose your account's address in the Page Address card at the top of Settings → Landing Pages: type the Address and choose Save Address. Choose it before you publish your first page. It takes 3 to 40 lower-case letters, numbers and single hyphens, and some addresses are reserved.
You can change the address once every 30 days. After a change, the old address keeps forwarding visitors to the same page at the new one for 90 days, and no other business can take it during that time. Only Owners and Admins can change it.
Create a page
- Go to Settings → Landing Pages and choose New Page.
- Give it a Name. Only your team sees this, for example "QR code on flyers".
- Under Start From, pick Blank page, or one of the examples: Enquiry, Book a call or Get a quote. Each example fills in a page you then edit.
- Choose Create Page.
A new page is a draft: nobody can see it until you publish it. If your account has one smart agent, the page uses it. Otherwise choose one on the page's Settings tab.
Build the page
Open a page from the list. The Details tab shows the blocks on the left and a Preview of the page as it will look on the right.
- Hero: a Headline, a Subheading, an Image and a Button that opens the chat. Under Opens the Chat On, a button can open the chat on one of your smart agent's triggers.
- Chat: where your smart agent's chat sits on the page, open and ready to type in. Every page has exactly one, and it can't be removed.
- Text: paragraphs, lists, bold and links. Links only work to your own website, your smart agent's allowed sites and your landing pages. A link anywhere else shows as plain text.
- Points: two to six short points, each with an icon, a title and a detail.
- Contact: your phone, email and address from Business Details. Choose Show your phone, Show your email and Show your address. Opening hours aren't shown.
Use Add a block… below the blocks to add one, the arrows to move a block, and the bin to remove one. A page holds up to 20 blocks. Choose Save Draft to keep your changes.
To use a picture, choose Upload Image (a PNG or JPEG, up to 10 per page), then pick it in a Hero block's Image. Each upload is checked before it can be published.
There are no FAQ blocks. To have the chat answer common questions, add them to Knowledge.
Write This Page for Me
The Write This Page for Me card on the Details tab drafts the page for you in a chat. Tell it who the page is for and what visitors should do, for example "A page for my Google Business profile that gets people to ask for a quote", and choose Send. It writes the blocks from your business details, your smart agent's triggers, and the documents and facts in your knowledge that are visible to website visitors. Then ask for changes the same way.
- It changes the draft only. You still review the page and publish it yourself.
- It works on the saved draft, so save or undo your own edits before you send a message.
- If it wants to change a block you edited yourself, it asks first. Choose Accept to take its version, or Keep Mine to keep yours.
- It doesn't invent prices, guarantees, reviews or results, and it doesn't give financial, legal or medical advice. Where it needs something it doesn't know, it writes a placeholder in square brackets, such as "[Your service area]", for you to fill in.
- New Chat starts a fresh conversation about the page.
Each message uses one turn of your account's daily AI design budget, which the workflow designer shares. See Workflow Settings. When it's used up, you can keep editing by hand, and the chat is back after midnight.
Page settings
The Settings tab holds:
- Name: what your team calls the page.
- Address: the end of the page's address. After a change, the old one forwards to the new one for 90 days while the page is published.
- Chat: the smart agent the page shows.
- Page Title and Description: shown in the browser tab, search results and shared links.
- Let search engines show this page: off by default, so search engines are asked not to list the page.
Choose Save Settings to keep them.
Publish a page
Choose Publish on the Details tab. Save the draft first. A page can be published once:
- it has a page title and its chat block;
- your account's page address is chosen in the Page Address card;
- it uses a smart agent that has a Privacy Policy URL (see Smart Agent);
- your Business Details are finished: what you do, and a phone or email;
- its images have been checked.
If something is missing, Uncog AI lists what to fix under Before this page can be published. Once published, the page is live at its address, shown in the list. After later edits, choose Publish Changes to update it. Visitors keep seeing the last published version until you do. A change to your logo, colours or contact details also shows after you publish again.
Your smart agent doesn't need any allowed sites to appear on a landing page: a published page lets you turn it on even if you have no website. While the smart agent is off, the page shows your contact details in place of the chat.
Stats
The Stats tab shows the last 30 or 90 days: Visits, Visitors (approx.), Chats, the share of visitors who Chatted, Left Details and Cases Started.
Visits are approximate. A visit is counted when the page's chat loads, not when the page opens, so someone who leaves before the chat appears, or whose browser blocks it, isn't counted. Uncog AI keeps counts only: no addresses, devices or individual visits.
Where Visits Came From lists the websites people came from. To tell your own links apart, add ?utm_source= (and optionally &utm_campaign=) to the end of the address you print or share, for example …/get-a-quote?utm_source=qr. Up to 20 sources are listed per day, and the rest count as Other. Counts are kept for 24 months.
Unpublish or delete a page
In the list, open the page's Actions menu:
- Unpublish takes the page off its address straight away and makes it a draft again. You can publish it again later. Its old addresses stop forwarding.
- Delete removes the page with its versions, images, stats and its Write This Page for Me chats. This can't be undone.
Unpublishing a page doesn't turn its smart agent off. If the smart agent then has no allowed site and no published page, its Setup tab shows Nowhere to appear: add a site, publish a landing page, or turn it off.
Questions
Can I use my own domain for a landing page?
No. Pages live at your account's address on uncog.it.
Can I add my own HTML, a form or a booking widget?
No. Pages are built only from the blocks above, and the chat is the only way visitors can get in touch on the page. The chat works as it does on a website, so it can start your workflows if your smart agent is set up to (see Smart Agent).
Who can see a draft?
Only Owners and Admins, in Settings. Nobody else can see a page until it's published.
