Getting Started
This guide takes you from signing up to having your business set up in Uncog AI, with your team invited and your email connected.
Create your login
- Go to Sign Up.
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email and Password. Your password must be 8–72 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
- Choose Sign Up.
If you already have a login, choose Log In and enter your email and password instead.
Name your account
Your account is the shared workspace for your business. Right after signing up you are asked to name it.
- On Name Your Account, enter the Account Name (usually your business name).
- Choose Create Account.
You become the account's Owner and land on the dashboard.
Find your way around
The sidebar has these items:
- Dashboard: your home page, including the workflow steps waiting on you.
- Calendar: meetings, deadlines, follow-ups and key dates.
- Contacts and Companies: the people and businesses you deal with.
- Review: changes Uncog AI found in your email that need a person to confirm.
- My Work: workflow steps waiting on you and your team.
- Workflows: the processes you run for your customers, and every case in them.
- Settings: at the bottom of the sidebar.
Invite your team
- Go to Settings → Members.
- Choose Invite Members.
- Enter one or more Email Addresses, separated by commas, spaces or new lines.
- Pick a Role: Member or Admin.
- Choose Send Invitations.
Each person gets an email with a link to join. See Members and Roles for details.
Connect your email
- Go to Settings → Mailboxes.
- Choose Connect Mailbox.
- Choose Continue to Google or Continue to Microsoft and approve the read-only access.
Uncog AI then imports your recent mail and starts filling in contacts, companies and dates. See Connecting a Mailbox.
Choose your daily agenda email
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Turn Email me a daily agenda on or off.
The agenda arrives at 7:30 on weekday mornings. It lists today's events, overdue deadlines and follow-ups, and key dates in the next two weeks. Nothing is sent on a day with nothing to report. It is on by default, each person sets their own, and the setting applies to one account only.
Switch between accounts
If you belong to more than one business's account:
- Open the menu at the bottom of the sidebar (it shows your name, account and role).
- Under Accounts, pick the account you want.
To set up another business, choose Create Account from the same menu. Log Out is also in this menu.
Forgot your password?
- On Log In, choose Forgot Password?.
- Enter your Email and choose Send Reset Link.
- Open the email, enter a New Password and Confirm New Password, then choose Reset Password.
Resetting your password signs you out everywhere. Reset links expire. If yours has, request a new one.
Good to know
- Whoever creates an account is its Owner.
- Owners and admins manage settings and design workflows. Everyone can work on contacts, the calendar, Review and cases.
- There is no in-app account deletion or data export. Email [privacy email] to ask for either.
