Business Details
Settings → Business Profile holds who your business is to your customers, in one Business Details card: your account name, then what your business does, your time zone, your legal business name, ABN, contact email, phone, website, address and social links. Your logo and colours are on Branding, the next page under Settings. Business Profile is the first page under Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar. Uncog AI shows the details at the foot of every email it sends your customers for you, and at the foot of their secure portal page, so customers know who is contacting them and how to reach you. Australian law (the Spam Act) requires every email to identify its sender and give a way to contact them.
Rename your account
Your account name is how your team sees the account in Uncog AI, for example in the account switcher and in the emails Uncog AI sends them. Customers see it too when you haven't set a portal display name (Settings → Smart Agent → Workflows → Settings) or a legal business name.
Only Owners can rename the account. Admins and Members can see the name but not change it.
- Go to Settings → Business Profile.
- Choose Rename next to Account name.
- Enter the new name and choose Save Changes.
Account names are unique across Uncog AI, so you can't use a name another account already has, even with different capital letters. Everyone in the account (except the Uncog AI onboarding team) gets an email with the old and the new name. Nothing else changes: roles, data and sign-in stay the same.
Add or change your business details
Owners and Admins can change them. Members can see them but not change them.
- Go to Settings → Business Profile.
- Choose Edit Business Details.
- Fill in the details and choose Save Changes.
You are also asked for them on Add Your Business Details, right after you create an account. You can choose Skip for Now and add them later in Settings → Business Profile, or on the Add your business details card on Home (see Your Home Page).
Fill them in from your website
With your Website filled in and what your business does, your phone or your email still empty, choose Fill In From Website. Uncog AI reads your home page and up to three contact, about or services pages, and fills in only the empty details your website plainly states: what your business does, phone, email, legal business name and ABN. It never changes a detail you typed. Each detail it filled says Read from your website — check it. until you change it. Nothing is saved until you choose Save Changes, and nothing read from your website is kept. An ABN is filled in only when it is a valid ABN, but check it is yours: a website can show a parent company's.
You can do this once an hour, and each time counts as one of the 50 websites Uncog AI reads for your account each day.
What each detail does
- What Your Business Does: your industry, chosen from a list. Customers never see it: Uncog AI uses it to suggest who your business most likely sells to when you first describe your ideal customer. It's the one detail you must fill in to save the others.
- Time Zone: where your business is. Australian zones are listed first. Every "today" in Uncog AI follows it: Home, Later, the calendar and its agenda, reminders, and the daily limits that reset at midnight. Customers never see it. Changing it doesn't move anything already scheduled: a meeting stays at the same moment, and an all-day event stays on its date. On Add Your Business Details and on the Home card, it starts as this device's time zone when that differs from the account's, so check it before you save.
- Legal Business Name: your registered name, such as Harbour Home Loans Pty Ltd. When it is blank, customers see your portal display name (Settings → Smart Agent → Workflows → Settings), or your account name.
- ABN: shown next to your name. It must be a valid 11-digit ABN.
- Contact Email: where customers can reach you. When it is blank, customers see your account owner's email instead.
- Phone, Website and the address: shown when filled in.
- Social links: your business's pages on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube and TikTok, under Social links at the end of Edit Business Details. Each one is shown as the network's icon, linking to your page, at the foot of your customer emails and portal. Leave blank any you don't use. Each address must be on that network's site, so a Facebook address can't sit behind the LinkedIn icon. The sign-in code emails (the portal code and the website chat code) never carry links, so they leave the icons out. They don't appear on Add Your Business Details or the Home card; add them from Settings → Business Profile.
Every other detail is optional. Until your legal name and contact email are filled in, the page shows Complete your business details.
Your logo and colours
Your logo and brand colours have their own page, Settings → Branding. See Branding.
Good to know
- Replies to your customer emails still go to the person who owns the case, not to the contact email.
- Emails Uncog AI sends to your team (invitations, reminders, alerts) show Uncog AI's own details, not yours.
